About Me
My name is Cindy Peralta
After inheriting the healing hands of my Maguán great grandmother and Afro-Maguán grandmother, I continue the traditions of using herbal remedies to help heal our underrepresented communities. From the depths of Kiskeya (Dominican Republic) Mama G's Apothecary aims to revive nourishing recipes using healthier alternatives for our everyday consumption.
As an apprentice Behike (herbalist in Arawak) completing my first year with the Sacred Vibes Apothecary apprenticeship, I have studied under Karen Rose, an experienced spiritual herbalist for over 25+ years. While under this apprenticeship, I also bring my ancestral knowledge of herbal remedies and recipes that have been passed down.
By mostly using herbs that grow locally in Harrisburg, PA, I am keeping within the indigenous traditions of those who came before us on this sacred land to provide for those most in need.
